The Mustangs Baseball program was proud to host a special day of games in collaboration with the Placentia Pony Champions League on March 16, 2025. This event brought together the Mustangs and the Champions League players for a day of fun, teamwork, and community spirit on the diamond. The Pony Champions League, dedicated to providing every child, regardless of special needs, the opportunity to enjoy America’s favorite pastime, aligns perfectly with our values of Mustangs baseball. Together, we created an unforgettable experience celebrating the joy of baseball for all participants.
The Mustang's had a productive day volunteering at HIS House-OC. The boys painted fences, trimmed and cleaned up the yard, sorted and restocked the diaper shed, and even washed the organization’s vans. They also had the opportunity to tour the facilities and learn more about the important work HIS House-OC does for the community. The organization is currently in need of baby wipes, and donations can be dropped off directly at their facility. We hope this experience inspires the team to continue fostering a love for giving back to their community.
Yorba Linda Food for Families serves the North Orange County community by providing fresh and shelf-stable groceries for individuals and families that are food insecure at no cost. The Mustangs had an opportunity to help work alongside Food For Families and the Orange County Fire Authority to help give back to the local community during the holidays.
The Yorba Linda Mustangs High School baseball team had the honor of helping out as volunteers at the East Hills Yorba Linda Little League tryouts, bringing their energy and expertise to support the next generation of players. The Mustangs assisted with drills, offered tips on technique, and cheered on the young athletes, creating an inspiring and encouraging atmosphere. Their involvement not only helped the tryouts run smoothly but also strengthened the bond between the high school team and the local youth baseball community, fostering a shared passion for the game.
Working with Skid Row Ministry & St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, our student athletes had an opportunity to experience firsthand the realities & struggles of life on Skid Row, while helping organize donated clothes, goods, and food to be delivered to over 300 men, women and children.
